Benefits are low price, disadvantage is resource customisation (espetially RAM and CPU for package), and IP blacklisting.
There is no posibility of root account and any linux customisation, it is as it is.
Cloud server is one server with operating system for example linux with all features fully open to you with hardware resources you pay in cloud.
Benefit is full customisation, disadvantages is taht cost more and you need to know much more or pay somebody to setup server for you what cost.
In shared hosting, one time setup for global server it is applyed for all new clients/packages.
On prem server is phisical server which will be integrated on client premises.
On prem server advantage is that you are owner of all, mean hardware, software, interent, netowrk, also responsible for all, all data is in your phisical premises.
Disadvantage is highest cost for maitenence and for integration project, still sometimes is tehnically best, as Banks and some even small customers demand to have their own on prem server for some services.
